As we approach the first year anniversary of the project, I would like to express my utmost thanks and gratitude to all those who have followed along with the progress of the project over the past year.

Through this past year, I've made my intentions known and my designs shown to the community, engaged with the community through social media and out in the world, and even had an official City Flag and Logo Survey conducted by the city to gague community interest at the time, although not enough people participated in the survey so the city wasn't able to move forward with a potential flag process at that time. It's still quite staggering to me how much progress we've made in this past year of the project, and I'm hoping that this next year will be even better for us who would love to see the city finally officially adopt a great-looking city flag some point in the near future.

It all started as a post in a New Franklin Facebook Group, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, that received mixed results, some loved my design, others disliked it to say the least, but from that point on is where my passion only grew and today, I'm proud to say that this project is making quite steady progress in recognition and support in the community. Through this project, I've learned a lot about not only city flags and how they should be made to represent a community, but also about this community in general, and the whole process in making a potential city flag official in our city. As a young, autistic person, I couldn't be more proud of this project so far, and I can't wait to see what this next year will bring to us. Happy 1st anniversary, NFOFP!
